Help and troubleshooting

Diagnose access, editor startup, unsaved changes and unresolved references using visible results.

Cannot see or edit a deployment?

Check the signed-in identity and Active organisation first. No deployments yet can mean an empty organisation or no grant; ask its Owner. Access denied or changed permissions must be resolved through current membership/grants, not by guessing a direct URL. A hidden New deployment button is expected for Viewers.

A Viewer may inspect a scene but cannot Save it. An explicit Editor grant can add save permission for one deployment. Metadata fields are disabled when the product does not grant edit access.

Blank, slow or failed WebGL editor

Use a current desktop browser with WebGL support, keyboard and mouse, sufficient memory and working graphics acceleration. The docs site supports mobile reading; that is not a claim that the WebGL editor is usable on every mobile device. Exact browser/device support is not established by this guide.

First-load assets can take time. If The editor is taking longer to start appears, keep the page open while assets download. If it remains blank, record browser/OS, visible error, deployment action and time before reopening. Do not include tokens, invitation links or customer design data in a report.

WebGL host unavailable means host verification/startup failed; report its detailed message. A saved-design restoration error is a separate load/reconstruction problem: use Load explicitly when safe. Repeated reloads are not a documented repair and can lose unsaved work.

Selection, panel and save issues

Click inside the editor for keyboard/mouse input. Camera input pauses while a text field is focused or an inspector owns input. Use editor controls for the exact bindings. Left click a resource to inspect it; selecting empty space or another object can discard a draft.

If Apply is rejected, read the validation message; fix CIDR, numeric, hierarchy or reference constraints described on the resource page. Changing a dropdown draft is not committed until Apply. An ID label containing missing or stale is not evidence of a live AWS resource. See references.

If Save fails, retain the scene, record the error and verify current access. For a revision conflict follow Load Latest guidance. Do not claim a failed save succeeded or overwrite other work by repeated retries.

What Atlas currently does

Atlas models designs. It does not deploy, validate live AWS credentials, measure real traffic or guarantee that a design is valid for an AWS account. AWS documentation explains the services, while Atlas field constraints describe what this editor accepts. The two are related but not interchangeable.

For account or invitation problems, contact your organisation Owner with the visible error and access context. Keep credentials and invitation links private.
